My adventure trying out Natural Collection products continues! I purchased this foundation a while ago and decided to give it a try on the most unhelpful weather; the dry heat of my hometown in Mexico. I think I have mentioned before how much of a nightmare it used to be to wear foundation in the summer back home. Almost any foundation felt like I was wearing a layer of cake frosting and the sweat only made it worst.

Turns out this foundation is a good option for summer and hot weather, its light weight formula almost feels like a BB cream yet it has a medium coverage giving a nice natural complexion. It works well with brush & even fingers but if applied with a makeup sponge it has a uniform dewy finish, leaving my skin looking fresh and with a beautiful light glow.

It also stays nice and fresh throughout the morning until around lunch time but I noticed that if I apply loose powder it will look as good as new. It doesn´t dry out my skin neither does it makes my skin oily. Worth a try if you want to go for something lighter for the season!

With summer barely here, I have no option but dream of some of the things I want to wear right now and share them with you!

Lately I have been dreaming about finding a beautiful midi skirt and this one by the brand Little Mistress is a lovely piece to upgrade a summer brunch. I have always loved the beauty of raw crystal jewellery and this year I purchases my first crystal necklace during my trip to Mexico.

I would love to get more pieces not only because of the boho vibes they add to any outfit but also because of the uniqueness of every gem. The one I have included in this list was created by the UK brand Le Lapin. I came across their pieces after they followed me on instagram and since then I have been coveting all of their wonderful designs.

I have included two beauty products in my list too, I have read so many amazing things about Lush shampoo bars and I am curious on trying this seaweed bar. I am very into beach hair right now and I heard this one gives a beautiful effortless texture to any mane.

My hair was always in constant change, although I have never dyed it before, I have always experimented with haircuts… some I am proud of, some you will never find a picture of. I feel like its time to do something new with my hair, that being, dying it for the very first time.

I would love to get a blonde dip dye and decorate it with blue, green & purple from time to time. I found this semipermanent coloured bleach that would be perfect for those occasions! Now I just have to be brave enough to dye my hair the next time I go to the hair salon.

Last but not least, I have found the next awesome pair of sunglasses to add to my collection, I completely fell in love with these very stylish cat eye sunnies. Aren´t they so pretty?
A summer list is not complete without a pair of shoes and this take on the gladiator sandals is everything I would love to wear on a hot summer day! They would go so well with a tea dress or a skirt!

You've had a tough day, the end of a crazy week, there is nothing more you would like to do than just sit back and relax while binge watching Netflix. Treating yourself to a little pampered evening. We have all been there, if you haven´t I highly recommend you invest in at least 20 minutes for yourself one day… you will feel even more energised!

We all should have some time to relax once in a while. For me Sunday evenings are made to chill. I try to keep it a little tradition even when I don´t have the chance, I will make it up some other day. My routine changes from time to time as I am always drawn to different products but so far, these are my pamper evening essentials.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil: I talked about it here on the blog a while ago. I have been using it ever since to detox my face. Whether I have few pimples or as a post Holiday season cleanse, I just add a few drops of it in warm water and steam my face for 10 minutes. If you decide on giving this a try, avoid doing it too often as it may dry out your skin!

Bubblegum scrub by Lush: It has not been long since I talked about this scrub but since I purchased it, my lips feel so soft and renewed. Plus the smell and flavour of this pink goodness is delicious. The sugar used to make it is super fine, it gently removes dry skin leaving my lips smooth & happy.

Aussie Shower Smoothie: Pretty much like its name says, a creamy smoothie for your skin. Sweet notes of strawberry and the indulgent power of Macadamia oil have left my skin silky soft and energised. A great way to pamper tired skin, any day of the week.

Sanctuary Air-whipped soufflĂ© scrub: I like to think of this body scrub as a treat to make up for the fact that I do not own a bathtub. It has a very creamy yet bubbly consistency that gently scrubs dead skin away leaving my body feeling rejuvenated, smooth and relaxed.

Kiehl´s Creme de Corps: One of my current favourites. It has a very rich formula that moistures dry skin and its so lightweight and fresh. I love using after shaving my legs or exfoliating my skin. I would also note that shane has been using it and when it comes to moisturiser he has always been very picky but even he loves it.

Kiehl´s Overnight Hydrating Masque: The perfect to end a pamper evening is This mask. It is amazing to bring dry skin back to life. It works as an invisible layer that soothes skin and intensively hydrates. All whilst sleeping resulting in an ultra soft and smooth face the next morning! Ideal for extremely dry skin and a once in a while treat for normal skin.

My evening is complete with some indulgent snacks and an ice cold smoothie all whilst watching a film or binge watching my favourite tv shows!

Hi guys! Today I have a big announcement… after thinking long and hard about this space and my youtube channel, where I want them to go and what i want them to mean, I have decided to change the name of this space. This is something that I never thought I would do again but I guess in blogging, as well as in life, change is constant.

I want my content to speak loud & clear about the things that make my life happy. This is why I ventured myself into the process of finding my own voice. One of the steps was to find the perfect name for my blog, something that could describe all the things that I share with you and also a little bit of who I am.

That search took a little longer than expected but gladly, I have finally discovered the name I want for this crazy little thing to have. From now on, this blog, my youtube channel and all my social media accounts will go by the name Head Of Roses. I am so excited for this change as this name feels a right and perfect fit.  It embodies my personality and the content that I create.

I can assure you I won´t be talking about changing the name of this blog again as Head of Roses is everything I was looking for.

I want to thank each and one of you who read, watch & enjoy this space, it makes me so happy to read your comments and I can’t wait to keep creating more videos and posts as Head of Roses for all you people and myself.

Bright lips are a thing right now but despite being the focus on 2015 makeup trends, the love for classic bold lipsticks has been around for decades! I cannot describe how uplifting it is when I swipe a bright pink lipstick on, not to mention, the magic effect a red hue has on any outfit.

Whether you are a trend lover or a bold lips aficionado, we will all agree on one thing. To have a strong lip game, a little extra care is in order. The best way to buff and have polished looking lips is by scrubbing them at least once a week. I do have to say, the whole process isn’t as exiting as wearing a bright MAC lippy… this is where a no fuss, all natural ingredients scrub comes in handy!

This neon pink scrub by Lush is a quick and effective treat to dry, flaky lips. Made of natural ingredients, this scrub works fast to leave my lips feeling smooth, thanks to the goodness of jojoba oil whilst fine caster sugar removes dead skin resulting on polished, soft & renewed skin.

The nature of its ingredients makes this scrub edible, making it a great on-the-go scrub as there is no complicated chemicals that have to be thoroughly rinsed. This only makes it more tempting to eat as it has a delicious bubblegum flavour! I love using it once a week but it can also be used to prep lips before applying lipstick. Worth a try!

I confess myself a huge fan of all those inspirational quotes around Instagram and around the web. I love them and even find them cheerful when I need an extra motto for the day!

Sometimes I find myself wishing I could use them as my wallpaper but due to the size it ends up looking pixelated or even worse, the quote gets cropped. Today, I felt inspired to pick one of my favourite quotes and make a wallpaper for my iPod and also share it with you as a little gift! ^_^

I have created three different sizes that should fit any desktop, tablet and phone! You can download the wallpaper for free on the links below.

Hope you like it!
