Today I am reporting to you after trying out another body moisturiser. It seems that I am determined to find a handful of body products that I can rely on when it comes to keeping my skin smooth and soft… I am happy to say this one is now part of that exclusive list!

Kiehl´s Creme de Corps (add chic french accent) has everything a skincare “best kept secret” should have. Starting with the instant feeling of hydration delivered by its light textured formula, it is absorbed by the skin faster than most rich moisturisers I have tried before. At first I was slightly worried about running out of it too quick but soon I found it only takes a little amount to cover larger areas of skin.

I wish I had purchased a bottle earlier as it could have helped my dry skin in the cold days of Winter and I enjoy wearing body sorbets or lotions in the warmer seasons. This does not mean this is one of those seasonal products as it is a wonderful post exfoliation treat and it nurtures my legs after shaving them!

A few weeks ago I went on a day trip to Belfast to wander around its city centre and see whats new in all the stores at Victoria Square. I could not come back without stopping by Lush!  I have read and heard so many great things about their products but never really got to try them, I felt like I was missing out.

Although I had my eye on a couple of their products after reading so many blogposts online, I really wanted to visit their store and experience all their stuff for myself. I can’t continue this post without telling you how much of a sensorial experience the store was… before I even reached the doors, I was welcomed by a beautiful mixture of scents and was instantly drawn to the many bath bombs they had on display in the most creative ways. It was difficult to decide on which products to get but I came back with a couple of goodies including this perfume.

Sun has a wonderful blend of very natural notes of orange and just the right notes of sandalwood, making it a very refreshing and slightly sweet fragrance. It really reminds me of a sunny summer day and takes me back to the random moments I find myself raising my head with eyes closed to soak as much sun as I can.

The packaging is something to talk about too, it makes me feel like I own a little magic potion that releases sunshine anytime I want. I do have to say, the aroma does not last so long, just a couple of hours, I assume this could be the result of the highly natural mixture of ingredients but I think its a bit of a bummer as it has become my favourite summer scent… I guess I´ll have to restock!

There are so many pretty things that have catched my eye recently. From boho crochet patterns to flared sleeves and wide leg denims, it all seems to have synced with my current obsession with everything 70s!

This spring I want to let my inner boho babe out, as much as the crazy irish weather allows me to. I can already see myself wearing sandals, platforms and decorate a worn denim jacket with cute pins. Wear crochet shorts, or pair that turquoise top with those Zara wide leg jeans.

I felt like Chloe´s new mini editions would fit perfectly in this wishlist, and in my handbag… I´ve always thought its the perfect scent to feel like a flower child.

What on you Spring wishlist? Let me know on a comment!

I love writing this blog. It allows me to discover new things, new brands and recently I tried the drugstore brand Natural Collection for the first time! I have passed their stand at Boots so many times and it was not that long ago that I decided to include some of their stuff on my £20 makeup challenge

Now let me tell you something, I can be very picky when it comes to mascaras, I have tried many but only been happy with a few and whilst I was purchasing products for that challenge I was a bit hesitant on getting a new one. Turns out, Natural Collection´s Water Guard Mascara is a very impressive one! Not only it is cheap but also it has a great formula.

As a very loyal fan of the quality and value of the Great Lash mascara I was mind blown  by how this one shares very similar qualities with my go-to mascara, oh, and did I mention this one is even cheaper? I do have to say, I was unsure this one could add intensity and more body to my lashes due to its brown pigmentation (unfortunately the black tone was out of stock) but surprisingly, it does not fail to add a little extra and make my eyelashes look longer and fuller.

Its formula is long-lasting, waterproof and gave a smudge free look even in extreme warm weather… trust me on this one, this is the only mascara I wore when I visited Mexico… I only wish I would have tried this brand earlier!

I am trying to be a bit more experimental with my make up, specifically, my lips. Last Winter, I dared to give the first step by embracing the plum lips trend and I was extremely happy to swipe some of my 3CE lacquer to feel like a whole new me!

This season, I am ditching the “lighter lips on warm days, darker lips in winter” rule… if its even a thing! and I am doing a mix and match adopting some of the current trends and using them as part of my everyday make up. Here are some of the lip products I will be wearing throughout Spring Summer 2015.

At first, I was slightly hesitant about wearing any other bold colour than red but I simply could not resist all those bright pinks and orange lips popping out of every magazine right now! These two are my ultimate favourites as both have a lovely formula. Both Rimmel Apocalypse and MUA have a wide range of bright colours and I am looking forward to try out the rest.

The “barely any there” trend is nothing new in my makeup life as most of the lip stuff I own easily enters this category. Somehow, I managed to spice things up this year with this peachy gloss bar by Tony Moly and this MAC lippy that in my opinion, has a more intense hue than the nudes I would usually go for.

I refuse to let go of my wine shades and gladly, the makeup world seems to feel the same way! The two lip shades on the picture above, are beautiful at any time of the year. Their pigmentation suits the grey days of winter and they also help me channel my inner flamenco girl on a warm summer afternoon.

Which lippies are you planning on using this spring/summer? Let me know on a comment!

Today I want to tell you about a wonderful historical spot in Aguascalientes, the Gran Alameda Hotel.

Since forever, I have been drawn to the arquitecture of this beautiful building but never really got to visit this place until my recent trip to Mexico. Before I tell you all about my brunching experience at the hotels café, I want to tell you a little bit about its story.

It was originally built as a private residence in 1899 and used as a military camp for Pancho Villa and his men during the Mexican revolution, it was many decades later,1989, that it turned into the luxury hotel know as the Gran Almeda Hotel. The place has kept its french style adding a little touch of modern aesthetic and very delicate Mexican accents.

The lovely interiors seen in these pictures are from one of the hotel´s restaurants, the Magnolias Café which is the perfect place to have an indulging brunch or a special dinner. I apologise for the lack of food pictures but at the moment I was seriously in love with the decoration and details of this spot not to mention hungry.

The food served in this place, traditional mexican, has a beautiful authentic flavour. You can really tell that not only do they care about serving amazing food but also they are committed to deliver a unique experience as the staff, including the chef, were making sure everyone was enjoying their food and they were than happy to suggest dishes to try.

Unfortunately I did not have enough time to explore the rest of the building but I am very much looking forward to going back and wander around its beautiful french inspired corners!
