The other day I received the October edit of the Kawaii Box, I was super excited to open it but I also wanted to share it with you guys. I wanted to do that with the September box but being my very first subscription box ever, it caused too much excitement in me that I couldn´t even wait to film a video!

The October box is a really cute one... I want to say its my favourite but this is just my second one. I really enjoyed every single thing included, specially the candy! Anyway, here´s the video, hope you enjoy opening the box with me.

The Christmas spirit came a bit early to me this year, to be specific, I was feeling the festive vibes way before Halloween. I really love the whole experience, layering up knits & cozy jackets, wearing beanies... I could keep going with the list but  dont worry i`ll save that for another post! The thing is, as soon as the cooler days arrive, I cant help but get excited for the festive season ahead.

One of my favourite things about the Christmas season, is the lovely scents candle makers create for the occacion. All with different cute names and all with the same purpose, to set a very cozy atmosphere. This is why I thought I´d share with you some really nice Christmas scents I chose from my local Yankee Candle store!

Starting with two sweet Christmas candles, Snowflake Cookie has a very sweet but not overwhelming scent. Imagine a batch of fresh baked sugar cookies with a hint of vanilla, a perfect candle to burn in the kitchen or to make any room feel very homey.

Although Berry Trifle is still within the dessert category, this candle has a more fruity fragrance, it has an overpowering smell of cherries & raspberries, almost like smelling a straight-out-of-the-oven berry tart. A more fresh option for those who aren´t big fans of pastry inspired scents.

I am pretty much new to the world of wax melts, I have heard they last way longer than candles and that sometimes they can have a stronger fragrance, it all sounded amazing but restrained myself of getting them as I felt like cheating on my love for candles... kinda silly, I know!

This is why I decided it was time to give them a try. Candy Cane Lane & Christmas Eve aren´t new scents to me, I have purchased them before in the form of samplers, the reason behind this is that as wax melts have a longer life, I thought I´d stick to something familiar, if you are new to wax melts I would recommend you to do the same.

As any other Yankee Candle fragrance, Candy Cane Lane really sticks to its name. I remember being a bit unsure about getting it as I thought it would end up being sickening but little did I know it would become my favourite of them all. It has notes of cinnamon at first but after burning for a while, I was able to pick a gentle smell of mint. Perfect to enjoy a rainy afternoon in.

Christmas Eve is a scent that embodies December days in a cold country. It has this overpowering smell of plums and seasonal fruits and a heart warming scent that I cannot explain in any other way than the woody smell of a hot fireplace. Although I have experienced these one as a votive candle, I am keeping the wax tart for those toasty December days!

How do you stay cozy in winter? Let me know on a comment!

Earlier on this year (can you believe 2015 is almost gone?) I tried solid shampoos for the very first time. It was a hair blowing experience (pardon the bad pun) as the New lush shampoo bar over passed my expectations. It fast became my favourite hair product and since then, I have not used any other shampoo. It was until last month that I needed to restock and I decided to give other Lush shampoos a try!

After spending some good time smelling and looking at all the different bars, I opted for the beachy & pretty looking Seanik bar and the creamy, cosy scented Honey I Washed My Hair. Both great in their different ways and perfect for different hair situations.

Seanik is a wave of volume and texture, ideal for those who want to add volume and texture to their manes. It has a beautiful summery vibe coming from the clean scent of lemon and the fragrant floral notes of one of my favourites, jasmine, tropical mimosa and orange flower. If that doesn´t take you right to a cute beach hut on a sunny day, the pretty ocean blue and the little pieces of seaweed decorating the bar will make of each wash a seaside experience.

I really like how my hair looks once its dry, as it looks more wavy, tousled but not frizzy and the most amazing part, it stays clean for longer. As I usually wash my hair in the afternoon, I love braiding it to have more defined waves in the morning without using heat.

Honey I Washed My Hair is more of a nourishing treat for dried out hair, thanks to the moisturising and repairing properties of honey. This bar has a cosy, almost-like-toffee scent, so sweet you could be tempted to eat it. Like the other Lush bars I have tried, it has a rich creamy lather adding shine and softness after every wash.

Although this shampoo bar is aimed to dry hair, it can also be of great help for thick hair in winter time as it helps prevent frizz. Due to its rich consistence, its better to pair it with a not so rich conditioner otherwise it can weigh down hair and shorten time between washes.

 Hi lovelies!
I recently got a new eyeshadow palette and a new lipstick in the spirit of Autumn, the gold and copper of fallen leaves and the vampy Halloween vibes. Turns out both complement each other so well that I thought they would make perfect material for a makeup session with you guys.

Hope you enjoy this tutorial, I want you to let me know on a comment what your perfect Autumn day looks like!

Hi lovelies!
Its been a while since I posted here but I haven´t been gone at all as I have been very active on youtube and elsewhere. I have a few ideas for new blogposts and I cant wait to get back into blogging more often. Before I talk about future posts, I want to share with you some of the dreamiest instagram accounts I follow to add some daily style inspo to my dashboard!

This is for all the Birkin fans out there or anyone who loves the boho style and 60s babes. This instagram revolves around the life of this icon, including of course, her amazing style. You can take huge inspiration from the vintage snaps or from the outfit edits they often post.

Submerge yourself in a huge wave of pastels, loads of pink, lilac and ethereal vibes! Kayla´s style is the one of a true mermaid, I really love how she remains loyal to the pastels and her posts are so aesthetic. One of my favourite themed accounts!

I discovered this Instagram account not so long ago and when I did, I wondered why I hadn´t known of her existence before! As a girl with a curvy shape myself, I often take loads of inspo from her outfits... and her makeup too!

She is part of the army of online girls that helped me become more confident of my body shape. No matter your size, its all about being confident and feeling beautiful from the inside out and I think Tanesha is not only a super stylish girl but also a beautiful soul who irradiates her inner loveliness!

I love ASOS, a very bold statement but its true and when their stylists became very public, I found my favourite ASOS girl in Megan. She has such a groovy style and her effortless but super cool outfits are my favourite to stalk. Her instagram account is full with covetable pieces, loads of OOTDs and lifestyle snaps.

Hi lovelies!

Keeping the Lush love on the blog, today I want to talk about one of the fragrances from the brand´s Gorilla perfume line. I have talked about their Sunfragrance before and once I ran out of it, I thought I would give Kerbside Violet a try, this time I went a little adventurous (go me!) and purchased the solid version of this scent.

When it comes to Lush, a lot of us instantly think about their fun bath bombs and quirky names, the many Instagram pictures of bathtubs filled with beautiful galaxy-like water and the enviable collection of these fizzy goodies some serious Lush fans have. All this bath bomb buzz makes many of us overlook the other wonders the brand has to offer. Their perfumes being the less talked about, in my opinion.

Kerbside Violet is, a highly vintage inspired fragrance. From the pretty retro packaging to the hypnotic notes of violet, rosewood and delicate hints of  jasmine &  ylang ylang, its scent makes me think of the country side and a romantic novel from the 1800s.

It is a sweet floral perfume, ideal for any flower child like me, parma violets lover or for anyone who´s looking to swap a sweet fruity fragrance for a more musky one. Im not sure if its the blend of scents or the formula itself but to my surprise, the aroma lasts longer than expected, sometimes I even notice a very light violet smell on cardigans a couple of days after. Something I have never experienced with other solid perfumes.

As a girl who is not a big fan of solid perfumes, I had little expectations but after using it for a while, I have fallen in love with the beautiful violet packed scent and became fond of the practicality of the design. It makes me want to re-explore the world of solid fragrances!

Do you like solid perfumes? Which one would you recommend?

You are officially a working girl. The rush of excitement to find out what your job will be like is mixed with the curiosity to find out what challenges the first day will bring. Suddenly, you are wondering what you´ll be wearing.

As I was telling you on a recent post, I got a job and as I write this, I am having a very needed cup of tea after successfully surviving my first day at work. Previous to this day, I spent some time figuring out what my “work clothes” would be and so far I have a couple of work ready outfits.

All the buzz inspired me to create this post, whether you are looking for a little inspiration to expand your “work ready” wardrobe or getting ready for a job interview, I have included two outfit ideas; one for business casual days and the other one more dressed down occasions.

Drape Front Blouse - Topshop
Trousers - New Look
Platforms - H&M
Bracelets - Accessorize
Lip Colour - Bourjois

Blouse - Oasis
Trousers - Topshop
Shoes - New Look
Earrings - ASOS
Lip crayon - Zoeva

When the words shampoo and conditioner are used, many of us instantly think about bottles of many shapes & sizes containing the liquid form of these two hair products. We all use or have used them and most of us know very little about the alternative options that brands such as Lush have to offer.
Until a couple of weeks ago I never thought solid shampoos & conditioners made with natural ingredients would change my hair care routine  for good. With some help from one of the lovely girls at Lush Sauchiehall Street (Glasgow), I opted for these two products and here are my thoughts about them so far.

NEW shampoo bar:  This pretty looking, handmade bar caught my attention right away. It has a very energising scent with predominant notes of cinnamon & clove complemented with a stimulating blend of nettle & peppermint. All combined to leave my head feeling super fresh, clean whilst adding shine to my hair.
To my surprise, it has a very foamy formula and lasts quite a while as hair stays cleaner for longer and even after using for up to 4 weeks, its size has not reduced considerably. Although this bar claims to help hair growth, I haven´t noticed any major changes on the length of my hair.

BIG conditioner bar: Despite its solid form, this bar is super creamy. It has a gorgeous floral scent and even though I am still getting used to the slightly greasy texture of the product after melted with water, I have nothing but nice things to say about it.
At first I was skeptical of its potential but since I´ve been using it I have noticed it adds more volume & makes my hair look nicer, even without much time spent in styling it. Same as with the shampoo bar, this conditioner has lasted longer than I first expected.
Overall, my first experience with Lush haircare line has been amazing. I am looking forward to trying a different shampoo bar and I already have my eyes on this one.
Have you tried any hair product from Lush? Which one is your favourite?

Hi guys! It feels like its been a while since I´ve written a personal post and lately, I have been very into filming videos that I haven´t really taken proper time to sit and write until now. I guess this often happens when you have a youtube cannel & also write a blog.... what matters is that I am writing to you right now!

Things have been crazy these days, good kind of crazy but also, a few hectic moments. I want to start by sharing some happy news! After a long time & several CVs sent, I have finally got a job. I am very happy, excited & scared all at the same time as its been a while since I worked.

I mean, its great to have a paying job and all the possibilities it might open but I feel just the same way I felt when I scored my first job, I am not alone in this boat of feelings as for the girls that will be starting out along with me, this is actually their fist job ever!

There has been some days in which I have felt very anxious too… the thing is, and I dont know if other people who suffer from anxiety identify with this, sometimes it comes out of nowhere. There could be many great things going on around me but somehow, I will feel like there are tons of things to worry about.

I am excited to start my first proper day at work as I am only training right now and I cant wait to find out my schedule so I can work around it to write more posts & make more videos!
