Hi guys! Im happy to be writing the second "wishes" post and the last one of 2014. Before I start, I want to thank everyone who became a member of this little corner of the internet this year. I truly appreciate each of you who followed and I want you to know it made me so happy to read your comments, tweets and everything you had to say. I am really looking forward to a new year and I am excited to keep reading your comments here and on the youtube channel. I wish you a wonderful 2015 full of good vibes, love and great things. Again, thank you so much for being part of my year!

That being said, its time to share our goals and wishes. I wanted to share my goals for the year but then I thought about all those years I made resolutions that never got accomplished. I feel like it would be easier for me to keep going step by step, accomplishing small goals that will lead to a productive and memorable year.

So here are my goals for this month:

- Make exercise a habit: I am including this goal again because I think December was not the ideal month to make a new habit. As its a Holiday month I was too tempted by staying in bed and although I improved my persistence, I did not follow my work out routine like I should have.

- Meal planning: I´ve made an improvement with the stuff I eat but there was days that I found myself making rushed decisions on what to eat and ended up eating unhealthy stuff more often. I never really considered planning my meals for the week and I thought it was a bit too much but if you fancy eating healthier, this is a great option. I´ve planned this week so far and I feel more enthusiastic of making nice food instead of eating stuff just to fill my hungry tummy.

- Make the best out of my creative days: As I mentioned on a recent post, there are days in which it is difficult to me to write or come up with new videos. I guess this is a common problem for anyone who has a blog or has a creative mind. But as I love posting and uploading videos for you every week, sometimes I get so frustrated to not have stuff to upload. This is why I want to do as much as I can on the days I feel so inspired and creative. To have a little extra for those days in which ideas are not flowing very easy.

- Learn how to use a sewing machine: A couple of days ago I found a lovely little place where they sell cute fabrics and I thought it would me amazing to learn how sew properly. I love the idea of having this skill as it opens a whole new world if you are fond of craft projects.

- Learn french: I have been meaning to do this for a while now but after a few lessons I stop and leave this goal under hiatus. This month I want to re start from scratch and keep learning until I can have a descent conversation with someone.

- Smile & laugh everyday: Because its always worth it.

I want to know what your wishes & goals are for this month or for this new year! Leave a comment with them and that way we can support and encourage each other!

Hope you have a great year!

I have to be honest guys, I think I have what people call a writers block. As you might have noticed, there has been a lot of videos lately but very few written posts and this has annoyed me a bit as I love writing for you.

Maybe some of you who write blogs have been in a similar situation where you make a cup of tea, sit and feel determined to write a post but it words don´t come easy. I have experienced this a few times in the past, not only when trying to write for the blog but even when I had to work on essays for college... one thing that has always helped me is going for a walk.

Isn´t it lovely when you walk with no destination in mind, just to enjoy the view, take some fresh air and ease your mind. Well, as much as I love doing it, winter in Ireland makes it that little bit harder for me to go outside! This time however, I didn´t focus on my excuses, I simply grabbed my coat, played my current favourite album and off I went for a lovely walk in the park.

I found myself thinking on a few ideas, feeling peaceful and happy to explore my surroundings. The tree branches having only a few stubborn leaves refusing to fall and the mysterious, rich depth of colour that nature only displays at this time of the year.

I couldn´t resist taking few pictures to share them with you. Its strange the type of serenity you find in the bleakness of winter. I want to know, what do you do when you have to clear your mind?

As you all know I ordered a few things from YesStyle to try a few Korean makeup brands. If you remember watching that haul video, there was one thing I did not know exactly what it was… what a great way find out than filming a Lets Try This video so I can share my first impressions on this product with you!

The moment has arrived... my first time talking about make up brushes! I have tried to stay away from talking about make up tools for so long. I just feel like that is a very complicated world that only gurus and make up geeks are good at describing but hey! I am a girl that loves make up and these brushes have made me so happy that I thought it would great to tell you about them.

I purchased this set very recently as I needed a descent extra set of eye brushes, not only the design was appealing, but the price was reasonable too at only £6.99! I am surprised at how good they are and how soft they feel, they are perfect to carry on a little make up bag and I bet they are super handy when traveling as they save some space.

The set has two pieces with four different brushes (shade, define & blend, smudge), the bamboo handles are not only pretty looking but also sturdy and they blend any eyeshadow so well. I have washed them once already and neither the handles or the hair has come loose. In my opinion this set is amazing in shape, size and price!

As I have mentioned in previous posts, I am slightly picky when it comes to body lotions and moisturisers. Some are too sticky and greasy, others are light and smooth but not helpful and even though I found a great option on The Body Shop´s body sorbets they are not very effective when the cold days arrive.

After searching for a new option, I think I have discovered one that will keep my skin smooth and moistuised... at first I did not have high hopes as I had a very shallow concept of what body oils were. I use to think they were the last thing I wanted to use, as they looked super uncomfortable and well... they are oily!

I didn´t hesitate much and got it, after all the things I have heard about Argan oil I thought it was worth a try. My opinion about body oils was quickly ditched as this lovely scented infusion was absorbed quickly by my skin leaving it silky smooth and moisturised. As far as the other things this oil claims to be helpful with, I have seen a very small improvement on my skin. I guess it might be a long term kind of thing but so far, it feels good on my skin and it has been a great help to battle the aggressiveness of the cold winter.

Its been beauty madness on the blog lately, I know, I feel like I have talked about beauty related things non stop these last couple of months and how could I not? There was so many products I wanted to share with you!

But as the blog is a little extension of myself, I really want to post more outfits, places and life related stuff. I guess it all comes to better organising of my time (ouch!)... and thats why I want to start a series of monthly posts in which we can all set our wishes or/and goals for the new month. Like a little support team were we can all encourage ourselves to accomplish more things through the months. I know I am in the need of this as sometimes I feel I could´ve done much more with my days.

So here are my wishes for December!

- Make exercise a habit: I have been exercising through out the year and I think thats a step forward from not exercising at all but I really want to make it a habit! I feel like the benefits of exercising are overshadowed if I only do it occasionally.

- Keep eating healthy: I have made some good improvement in this area and I want to keep eating healthy nutritious things everyday of the month!... with one naughty day once a week.

- More persistence on my "to do" lists: I confess I am obsessed with having everything under control and I love making "to do" lists everyday, although, that does´t mean I follow them every time. I wish I was able to tick all the stuff on those lists more often and I have been successfully working on it these days. It just makes me feel like I had a great productive day!

- Embrace Christmas with open arms: This year I want to enjoy all the cheese things on Christmas; decorate (something that I haven´t done since I moved out of home), wear ugly sweaters with snowmen and all that... but most importantly, restrain myself from being a grinch!

- Plan more DIY´s: I was so excited to share my 1st DIY video with you and I promised I would make more of those but I haven´t. So this month I want to plan loads of them so we can keep making more things together.

-Smile and laugh everyday: As cheese as this sounds, I want to keep reminding myself to smile and laugh even when I am having "one of those days".

Doesn´t matter how small or big the wishes are, anything counts and I think it would be amazing if you can share your goals in a comment so we can support each other. :)

Hope you have a great month!

Remember how fun it was to buy make up for the very first time? It was a thing I wanted to do by myself for myself. I spent an afternoon in the mall, going in an out of all beauty shops. Until I went to a little boutique where before I had got the most awesome jackets ever and found, to my delight, they had started selling make up as well. Which was the perfect timing as I was a little shy to stare at products with amusement in shops I had never even been in  before.

As it was a place I used to frequent, my embarrassment sort of went away and I spend a lot of time looking at all the eyeshadows, blushers and foundations they had. They were all NYX and at first I fell in love with their cute packaging and the pretty looking mosaic blushes... from that day, I was a loyal fan of their black eye pencil and rosey mosaic blush.

Then I moved to Ireland and the inevitable happened, I had run out of NYX blush. I looked everywhere with hopes of finding a little NYX stand, I searched everywhere, went in to every  drug store I could find. considering my options I tried their website, what I wanted was out of stock. I almost gave up, until I visited a little town nearby, very small one street town. I was  finally reunited with this lovely big brand in the unlikeliest of places!

I wish I had bought more stuff than just this but that only means next time, I will have to do a big haul! Right now I am so in love with this matte lip stick and pencil, I have been wearing them pretty much everyday and this eye pencil has a beautiful dark blue, which looks amazing on its own to create a cat eye look. Meow!

As much as I love the current weather, cold days mean, super dry lips. Luckily I have found some helpful ways to take care of them this year. Here are all the things that have improved my lips, making them feel healthy and soft.

Do you have any tips for dry lips? Let me know in a comment!

I was recently introduced to micellar water and at first I was impressed with all the good things, other beauty blogs had to say about it but then I big question developed in my head. Is this simple looking water that amazing?

I had to answer that question myself, so I went on the search for a bottle of this popular stuff. I do have to say I was a bit eager to purchase the first option I had in mind as it was a bit overpriced in my opinion... after wandering around the skin care section, I found this one by L´Óreal and I am happy with it, although, I have given it an alternative use.

Instead of its main purpose, which is to dissolve make up on an easy, simple and delicate way, I use it as a toner every morning. I love how delicate it is to tone my skin and unclog my pores, and also works great giving my face a fresh start before applying moisturiser, primer and all that. It soothes my skin and if I woke up with an annoying pimple, it will almost get rid of it.

On the other hand, I am not a big fan of using as a make up remover. Maybe I am too inpatient, or I am more likely used to make up wipes and cleansers. I had a dilemma on whether I should love it and praise it or ignore it and pass it on to someone else but I love it as a toner and it works great on me that way.

I would love to know if any of you find it helpful on removing make up and also, have you been on a similar situation where you end up giving a different purpose to a product? Let me know on a comment!

As the days get darker and mornings become grey (how dramatic did I sound!) I am now trying everything as possible to bring up some colour to my routine. As much as I love monochrome, I am starting to realise that, if I don´t want to feel a little under the weather  this season, I have to bring a little boost of pastels and even 60´s inspired florals into my wardrobe.

I really love the result when you add a hint of contrast, to a very simple outfit and whenever I spotted this fluffy beanie I knew it had to be mine. Oh, and wait to hear where I got it!... I was doing some grocery shopping in Tesco when somehow I walked through the clothes section. Little I knew they had the cutest beanies and gloves this year! They all seem to have good quality and they are less than £10.

I have to say, I am so tempted to visit that section again and get more beanies!

Lately I have developed a crush on Claire´s jewellery. I cannot pass by without getting drawn in for a quick visit to their store every time I am in the mall and to be honest, I don´t even restrain myself from doing it.

They have the cutest pieces, as you can tell by the macaroon bracelet, and the first time I spotted that tiny potion bottle filled with stars a big "awwww" came out. If all things kawaii are not precisely what you usually wear, I also found a couple of more minimal necklaces and statement pieces that are too pretty to resist. I feel like this is not a great discovery as Claire´s is nothing new for girls in UK & Ireland but for me it was a big deal.

I feel like I underrated this place due to my silly assumption that it was for a much younger crowd but they have lovely collections and it is very similar to Accesorize and other places of the sorts, they have things for everyone including tiny macaroons with adorable faces!

November is here, I know! But October was a great month full with some worthy finds… a few drug store beauty crushes, new additions to my wardrobe and even a psycho thriller I cannot stop thinking about. Lets talk about all those things we loved through out the last month!

I feel like I might have gone a bit far with this video´s thumbnail! hehe… I was tagged by Andy and Tay (link to their channel on the video description) to film this Halloween video and I had so much fun answering their questions. I have to say I feel a bit like a rookie as its my first tag video and now I want to film more tag videos!

I would love to hear back from you so let me know your answer to the questions on a comment, can be all of them or just a few! Hope you have loads of fun on Halloween and if you have nothing planed, how´s about a horror film marathon?

Monday, 27 October 2014

As we are very close to Halloween, I thought it would be nice to make a list of all the films I want to watch this year and share it with you! Let me know if any of your favourites are in the list and also leave a comment with the films that put you in the Halloween spooky mood.

I love everything about Autumn, I love wearing coats, beanies and drinking hot chocolate whilst a candle is burning and Im warming up with a chunky blanket but from time to time its nice to day dream about a tropical destination and its also uplifting to wear a fragrance that evokes warm sand, sunlight and azurite looking waters.

Before I go any further, I must confess I am not really into seasonal scents; maybe some of you will get me... when it comet to fragrances and many other things I always go for what I really like and the perfect example is this fragrance by The Body Shop.

I bought it right before Autumn started and since then, its been my go-to scent. Im not a perfume guru but I will do my best to describe it to you; it has a clean smell, a few floral notes and I dare to say it has a very gentle touch of roses but not too much to make it dry, it also has delicious water lotus notes that make it feel almost like a gentle breeze.

I find it perfect for a morning pick-me-up, or as a little boost before heading to the gym. It has enough power to stay pretty much all morning until the middle of the day but not too much to annoy.

If the previous wasn't enough day dreaming material… the lovely packaging can do as a background to submerge into a fijian dream and leave the Autumn blues behind.

Im so excited to finally share this little project with you! After spotting this patched jeans in magazines and blogs I thought it would be fun to make a more personalised version of this fashion trend… grab your favourite jeans, some nice patches and a couple of studs and lets do this together!

Hope you enjoy this video as much as I did filming it, let me know how your jeans turn out, tweet me a pic or tag me on instagram and I´ll share your patched jeans. Also, let me know on a comment what other DIY´s should I film next. I would love to hear some suggestions!
